The Ighalo Orphanage Foundation was founded by Nigerian striker, Odion Jude Ighalo, and fueled by his desire to make a difference in the lives of those who have had rough starts in life. An experience he shares with them. Created as a pet project for the Nigerian striker who currently plays for Chinese club, Changehum Yatai F.C., the Ighalo Orphanage Foundation is geared at helping kids in the same society that shaped him. Born on 16th June 1989 (Age: 28), into the family of Mrs Matina Ighalo and Late Sir. Ighalo, Jude Ighalo started playing football at a very tender age and has since built a successful career in professional football. Playing for one of the world's best clubs, he decided to open this great Orphanage Home in a bid to give back to this same society. “Life was tough growing up in Ajegunle and I vowed that if I eventually had a breakthrough, I’ll give back to the society that made me, hence, the Ighalo Orphanage Foundation," - Odion Jude Ighalo. Whoever came up with the saying, "how does one understand kindness when all they have known is cruelty", may have been on to something. Help us make this dream a reality!

As a young child growing up in Ajegunle, life's challenges were hard enough even with both parents at my side. The Ighalo Foundation had an Easter party for kids at our newly completed orphanage building and Ighalo was also present.
Ighalo Orphanage is a non - governmental, non - profit organisation that houses and nurtures children and negleted families in Nigeria.
It all started as a vision and dream of one man.
